I wore this look to my first night at Atlantic Fashion Week and that’s why I had to make it a little over the top. Every time I attend a fashion week I always like to put my fashion sense into overload and this look was no exception. This outfit kind of came together on its own and no it didn’t actually cipher through my closet and decide what it would pair with itself but it was pretty close. I’d ordered the top about a week before the Zara opening in Halifax Shopping Centre and then when I went to the opening I got this skirt and these shoes. A week later I was back in Halifax and, as per usual, I had to hit up Zara once again and that’s when I found this adorable bag (that I knew would be perfect with this shirt) and this pearl toque. They really only all came together to make the perfect pearl ensemble once I got home and piled everything on the bed. Then bam out of the blue they decided that they wanted to have a pearl bonanza and really go all out. People often ask me how I put my outfits together and sometimes, like this time, they come together once I see them all laying next to each other. Most of the time though I pick one piece and then bring it around to all of my closets to see what matches it best and piece by piece my outfits come together. Sometimes, once I try them on, I sub out one thing for another until the look is completely perfected.
Since pearls are so in for Fall I knew that going slightly overboard with them would really be a home run and boy oh boy was I right. They say too much of anything isn’t a good thing, but clearly, they never tried a pearl overload because this is one thing I couldn’t possibly get sick of.
Thanks so much to Fingers, Faces & Feet for my fabulous nails!
